On the morning of January 21, 2019, Thai Honda FC, a well-known football club from the Thai League 1, held a grand opening event to introduce their new supporters, IDEMITSU, and announce their participation in the Thai League 2. The event was attended by many sponsors and media outlets.
The event began with a partnership signing ceremony between Thai Honda FC and Apollo (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the owner of the lubricant oil brand, IDEMITSU. Mr. Yuichi Matsuyama, President of Apollo (Thailand) Co., Ltd., revealed that the reason for their support of Thai Honda FC was due to their commitment to creating a team and various projects that would develop society through football, which is in line with IDEMITSU’s intention to contribute to the development of Thai society.
Following that, Mr. Arak Pornprapa, President of Thai Honda FC, with Mr. Manonthep Pornparapa, Chairman of the club, expressed their gratitude to all the supporters who joined them and announced important projects that would make Thai Honda FC the center of football activities for the community surrounding the club. The focus would be on youth development and coaching.
Regarding the goal and plan for the 2019 season in the Thai League 2, Coach Daeng, Songyot Klinsrisuk (Director of the club), and Coach Kae, Worachai Surinsirirat (Head Coach), revealed that they would utilize the team’s strength and provide opportunities for youth players to become part of the club. They also expressed confidence in achieving better results than the previous year.
