Takaaki Nakagami demonstrated his determination to score points despite the difficult race. Although he quickly dropped down the positions after a wet weekend, the Sunday race on a dry track proved better for him. He had to settle for 15th place after dropping out in the 10th lap before rejoining the race.
Starting the day with good spirits, the Japanese rider had a great start in the opening round of the morning warm-up, which was the fifth of the season. He made several overtakes but pushing too hard led to him falling behind in the 10th lap. After that, he had to focus and complete the race to pass the checkered flag.

“It’s a shame that before the race started, I had some issues with the bike’s rear, and I knew it would make the race difficult. I had a good start, but as I said, I didn’t feel good at the back, and we don’t really know what happened. We’ll check and hopefully find out what happened during the race. But anyway, we got one point from the race. So, it wasn’t the best day, but we have to move forward and try again for the next race.” said Nakagami.
