On Friday, January 11th, the Udon Thani municipality collaborated with 3 Mongkut Racing Project, supported by Idemitsu engine oil, to announce and prepare for the Idemitsu Gymkhana 2019, a smooth-surface car race for the first time in Udon Thani. The event featured international racers and top Thai racers with 80 racing cars divided into the following competition categories: Under 1800, Over 1800, Open R (rear-wheel drive only), Open Lady, New Gen A/T, New Gen M/T, and Super Open.
The event, which took place from January 25th to 27th, 2019 at Thungsri Muang, Udon Thani, started with an official practice on Friday, January 25th, followed by a qualifying round on the same day. The final round took place on Saturday, January 26th, accompanied by various activities and a free concert. The event concluded on Sunday, January 27th, with a special show and entertaining activities to wrap up the true motorsports weekend in Udon Thani. In addition to the races, the event also included beautiful pit girls and various food and souvenir booths.
